The current configuration: server running 3+ Open Internet host computer running 3+ Remote PC OR another server w/3+ Open Internet 2 pcs of US Robotics HST or US Robotics V.32 modems (both of those tested) Purpose: to send and exchange mail via two networks or network/host pc Problem: the whole damn thing doesn't work. When the host pc calls the server and tries to exchange mail, the modems get connected ok but no data is exchanged, and the same with 2 networks trying to exchange mail. Sometimes even getting carrier is tough, although we don't know why. We've tried several different configurations on both modems and the software, but nothing has helped this far. If somebody's got this kind of configuration working (or any configurations with just 3+Open Internet, no matter which modems) please mail or followup your configuration on both software and modems, we've been stuck with this for 5 weeks now! -- jjj@niksula.hut.fi zonK jjj@otax.tky.hut.fi honK
