[comp.dcom.modems] Looking for kit to build my own modem

mjarvis@polyslo.CalPoly.EDU (Mike Jarvis) (04/14/90)

I am looking for a modem kit to put together for a Manufacturing Processes
course here at Cal Poly. If anyone has built their own modem and would be
willing to share the schematic and other info for it, I would appreciate it.
I would also be willing to pay for it.

Plagiarism is not a factor here as this course emphasis production and not
design. I will have to put the design onto our CAD/CAM system for production
so legible schematics are needed.

If you know of a design published in any magazines or kits available, these
would also work.

I am looking for a design for a 9600 bps (or 2400) external modem with it's
own power supply contained in it and working led's providing status
information. The connection would, of course, be through a RS-232 port
using serial communications.

Hayes compatible command set would be nice, but is not necessary.

Please send all responses to mjarvis@polyslo.calpoly.edu

Thank you.
