I have recently been given the charge of maintaining a Trailblazer+ used for UUCP communications. The problem is the modem will connect at 9600 baud (CONNECT 9600 and CONNECT FAST), but the effective throughput is about 200 chars/sec. I was having a problem connecting with a local Trailblazer and spoke with Telebit. The resolution was that the other modem had a problem (since fixed) and my config was OK. The two modems now connect, but throughput is not what one expects. My modem will also connect with SCO's Trailblazer, but once again the effective throughput at 9600 baud is about 200 chars/sec. The computer is a 25MHz 386 PC bus clone running SCO UNIX Sys V r3.2. Can someone help me figure this out, please?!
