I'm interested in upgrading from my 2400 baud modem to whatever I can
get. I had my eye on the Telebit line because a local board of which I'm
a member supports the Trailblazer. Is the maximum speed at which they run
19.2kbps? What's its maximum bit rate, 19.2k is just effective throughput,
right? Is there anyone with a faster bit rate? I recently read Hayes's
announcement of their new modem, _fast_. To whatat kind of standards does it
adhere?
I guess I'm looking for the fastest modem with the greatest degree of
compatability. If I get a Trailblazer now, will I be communicating at
19.2k with that one board and then at 2400 with everyone else? Should I
maybe just hold on to my own modem a while longer?
