I've got a complicated situation here and am hoping someone can help me. We've got a site heavy in remote usage; people call in from all over the place, then dial back out for a variety of dialup services we access in a terminal emulating sort of way (I don't know how else to describe it _ people call here then go on to GEnie or our on-line morgue, etc). The problem is that even though I can get a good connection in here at utoday! at whatever baud-rate, the connection on to the next site invariably has something wrong with it. Most recently I tried coming in at 19,200 on a TB+ (from a TB+) then calling back out on a TB2500 to another TB+ at 19200. My problem is really flaky screen control and character interpretation. HELP! In many cases, it is impossible for our users to call the remote services themselves. Any ideas?? I've been using cu and TERM on our host system to get out. Please post or mail. I can post a synopsis if there is sufficient interest. -- Sean Fulton *The above does not reflect the opinions of my employer* uunet!utoday!sean *If you don't believe me, ask him* Unix Today!
