I would like to know of sources of information about new technological advances in modem communications such data compression, standards used with 9600 baud modems over normal phone lines, and differences between standards (i.e. v.32 and v.42). Any form of information would be appreciated (email, news posting, ftp site of documentation source). Thanks.
