I am a long time Unix Workstation user, now just venturing for the first time
into the world of modems, PCs, baud rates, stop bits and so forth.
I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to inform this rookie about
the differences between all the different modem comm packages. I now
have access to the source code for more modem packages than I care to dig
through, and I was wondering if someone could maybe point me in the
right direction.
What is the difference between (1) kermit, (2) X-modem, (3) Z-modem,
(4) Q-modem, and any others I should know about?
