[comp.dcom.modems] ProtocommDevices question

adam@cs.UAlberta.CA (Michel Adam; Gov't of NWT) (08/16/90)

Many moons ago, I bought a terminal, and with it came a black box
with the following marking:

ProtocommDevices P250

The front panel has 16 LED, 2 reset switch labelled NMI and RESET,
one bank of DIP switch (8 switches).

Some of the labels on the LED are:

D1-D8, X25/L2, X25/L3, EX/FC, CH/FC, SYS/FC, LCL/SP, SP/ACT ...

and the back connectors are 2 25pin RS-232-C type, and power (15pins)
connector.

My guess is that it has something to do with X.25, but ?what?

Any info on this, and the company (ProtocommDevices) address much
appreciated.

Also, the connectors are labelled CHANNEL A and B, and there is a
battery indicator. Sure enough, there is a small disk type
battery inside, and the date on the pc board says 1985,
P-250 REV 0 92-8500-A1. There is also a Z80 cpu inside.
