Is anyone familiar with the AT&T Paradyne HDX 9600/208B Switched Line
Microprocessing modem (model 2597-04 and 2597-31)? We use them for
communications between computing sites at work over standard phone
lines (at 4800 bps) and I am curious if they are able to work with any
other 9600 standards.

As I am rather new to the 9600 scene, I would like to find out if I can
utilize these modems for UUCP transfers with any other 9600 standards out
there. The manual included with these modems indicates that they are
"operating in the Bell 208B mode."

The other indication is that it is a "half duplex synchronous, binary
serial data transmission modem."

I would love to be able to use them for communicating with other "normal"
9600 bps modems but am not sure of their compatibility:)

Thanks in advance!
