I'm not sure this goes here but I'll give it a shot. I want to know if there is such a beast as a Fax(Send/Receive)9600baud/Hayes 2400baud w/MNP5. I've seen a Prometheus modem w/ all of the above plus V.32/V.42 support. I like those features but cost wise it's over kill. I would be interested if anyone has had any experience with the Prometheus too. I've seen a lot of Fax modems w/Hayes 2400baud support but the key issue here is the MNP5. Any help would be appreciated. Just out of curiousity I would like to know something about the software that the fax boards use (how do they work, what graphic formats do they except, can you scan directly to them,etc.). INTEL's new SatisFAXtion fax board combines a 9,600bps fax modem and a 2,400 bps data modem with MNP 5. At $499 retail, this could be a killer product.
