Recently I finally got my Interactive OS up and running, all with the exception of my Courier HST 9600 modem. I know it is NOT the software setup, nor the internal hardware setup of my machine, as a Hayes 2400 Smartmodem works fine with the settings Interactive gives. I'm sure someone in this user group has gotten an old HST9600 working with their Unix, and I was wondering if you would share your register settings/ system setup with me in the hopes of getting my modem up and running.... 2400 baud s**ks!!!! Thanks tons in advance! Brando brando@uicsl.csl.uiuc.edu

We have an HST up and running here under 386/ix release 2.2 with the Computone Intelliport - I would dump the registers - but I'm not at home (where the machine is) - anyhow we are running all our modems with only hardware flow control - and all the DTE speeds locked at 19,200 baud. The HST produces a solid 1670 cps using zmodem under Unix - even with all the ports going full blast, news compression and X windows (with 8 xterms) all running at once. -- Larry Snyder, Northern Star Communications, Notre Dame, IN USA {larry@nstar, uunet!sco!romed!nstar!larry, nstar!larry@ndmath.math.nd.edu} backbone usenet newsfeeds available Public Access Unix Site (219) 289-0282 (5 high speed lines)
