We have a situation where it would sometimes be convenient to be able to
dial-in to sites in Europe from the US, and in order to do that I'd like
to be able to put together a "kit" consisting of modem, associated
hardware and reasonably canned instructions.
This is impractical you cry, and I was afraid you might, but let me ask
a stupid question, just how impractical is it? I know that many people
do indeed transfer data across the Atlantic using nothing more than
dial-up modems, but I also believe that setting up the European end,
what with the various forms of telephone companies is not trivial.
Does anybody have time to enlighten me? E-mail and I'll summarise for
those who may be interested.
Thanks Mat
