I'm interested in information about high-speed modems (>= 9600 bps) particularly those that support MNP Class 5 or V.42bis. If you have had experience with a modem that you really liked or really hated, please let me know. I'm looking for good price / performance. Has anyone had any experience with the new Intel 9600EX or the Practical Peripherals PM9600SA V.32/V.42bis? Tech Data has the Intel modems for around $470 - while the PP is now priced at $454. Have you tried TELEBIT modems? The T2500 PEP/V.32/V.42/V.42bis
and the T1500 V.32/V.42/V.42bis work quite well for me. there
is an added incentive for UNIX UUCP use in PEP and V.32 in both
these modems due to TELEBITs protocol support of UUCP, Kermit,
X-modem, and Y-modem. If you would like TELEBIT literature,
