[comp.dcom.modems] T2500 and V.32

linco@eng.umd.edu (Sam Lin) (08/03/90)

I am using my Telebit T2500 to try to connect to a Multitech
Multimodem, which only has V.32. I have set register S50 to 6, to
force pthe T2500 into V.32 mode, but I still cannot connect at 9600
baud. Does anyone have any ideas on proper register settings for the
T2500?

How do I set up my T2500 so that a site can dial-in at 9600 V.32?
I have no trouble calling him (my dialer sets S50=6), but we are unable to
establish a connection when he dials me. It acts as if the modems are
connecting, but he gets nothing but "garbage". My uugetty is set for 9600
and 2400. Any ideas would be appreciated.
