I am running a bbs (Proline) which connects to another local site in
mail transfer. My site runs with an original USR HST 9600 and connects
to about 7 other sites with the same modem, with no problem. However,
the one new site that is running with a USR HST Dual Standard modem is
connected to me and we cannot get the modems to talk to each other in ARQ
9600 mode.
Every time we connect and his modem tries to change to the high speed
channel we are thrown into a retrain sequence and the the MR light looks
something like a Xmas tree having a ball.
If anyone knows how to fix this please email to me, at the address or
