I have recently been given a modem made by AT&T Technologies, whose only label on the outside of the chassis is "PDM". I have no information on how to operate it and was wondering if anyone has seen such a beast. The front panel has the typical LED indicators for "Term ready, line status, test, check options, send/rcv, and carrier on" as well as DIP switch selections for baud rates (LOW, 300, 1200, ..., 64K, TRBK) and other communication settings (partity, duplex, a/sync, etc). On the PC board inside, it is labeled as a "Z700D L1 85MG08 Ver 1.0 Series 1" by AT&T Technologies. If anyone has any information on how it operates (command set - it does not respond to Hayes type commands nor anything else I've tried), or what type(s) of modulation it uses, I would very much appreciate the information. Please e-mail any info to true@elbereth.rutgers.edu - thanks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frederick True true@elbereth.rutgers.edu ftrue@attmail.att.com "A woman that loves to be at the window, is like a bunch of grapes on the highway." -W.
