Hi I was in need of an optimally priced internal modem. So I purchased an Emerson 2400 internal modem. The problem is that "Kermit" will not run with that modem. I tried all the four com ports, but the modem does not even echo the characters on the screen. The above modem works just fine with the software supplied with the modem, which is bitcom, if that means anything. I am interested only in a modem that will run kermit. Could somebody please tell me why some modems would work with "Kermit" and how I can differentiate those that will. I would appreciate any comments.
