We recently bout about 35 Hayes Ultra 9600 (V42/V32) modems.
Once in a while, they "hang" in a state with OH but no CD.
Power cycling seems to fix the situation, but several hours/days
later, the problem recurrs. Hayes solution was to replace the
modems (rev 1.1) with newer modems (rev 1.3). This does not seem to
correct the problem. We did not have this problem with the old
9600 V-Series (or if we did, it was so infrequent that we did not notice
it). Any suggestions? We'd like to keep the Ultras, so we can support
our existing Hayes V-Series base, and also support V.32.
