I am trying to access Prodigy service from a T1000. Since Prodigy support maximum baud rate of 2400, I changed the S50 register to 3 ( ie. 2400). When I run Prodigy, it dials out and get the modem signals but when it tries to exchange signals program issues communication error. I tried Prodigy support service they could not figure it. May the person I spoke to may not be that experienced. So, I decided to bring the problem to TRUE experts of the world. If anyone successfully access Prodigy from a Telebit modem, I am very grateful if you tell me how to resolve my problem. Thanks in advance. Sisira Jayasinghe. Set the T1000 to Conventional Command Mode (CCM). TURN OFF MNP! This is what causes the modem error, the majority of the time. Once you're in CCM, set: AT~S51=2S66=1S95=0 This sets NO MNP and a locked interface of 2400 bps. S50=3 (V.22bis-2400 bps ONLY) may not be needed. Add this to the above string if it is needed due to more modem errors. This set-up worked for me, but I was very disillusioned by the quality of Prodigy. I'm having an easier time convincing my computer banking service to go V.32 than getting a hold of anyone who'll listen at Prodigy. Hope this helps! =============================================================================== Cerafin E.
