[comp.dcom.modems] Practical Peripherals 9600 w/ V.32bis

luce@aurs01.UUCP (J. Luce) (01/31/91)

Just talked to a PPI Technical Type/ The V.32bis is due out February
15,1991.

I am also curious about the Tin-Can and String Comment earlier, people I
know who use PPI stuff have no problems. Could Mr. Consultant (I forget
your name, sorry) please elaborate? Thanks.

I have a PP 2400SA that does the job but every now and then I get a
line with noise that it can't hold. Also, if anybody picks up an
extension in the house the line is immediately dropped. I thought
this was probably normal but I think I heard someone say s/he tested
a modem that would not drop the line even when someone talked on the
other extension.
