Or, for a really good V.22 modem (the proper way to do 1200, none of 
this nasty Bell stuff :-)) get a Racal 1222.  Their only problem is 
that they don't dial, but they can even ride out lightening strikes
close enough to fry the exchange!  True -- it happened to me about
six months ago.

Like they support the hell out of their shrinkwrap Unix V.4, ACE, ICC
and HUB multi-port cards, Blit and Instant-Workstation cards?  Intel
do chips, and make lousy systems and peripherals suppliers (IMEMAO).
They seem to be fast becoming the Microsoft of the hardware market,
which is not surprising, given their close links with IBM.

I couldn't agree with you more.  The T2500 does do V.32 aswell, but
not terribly well (they use Rockwell chips, I think :-().  PEP beats
them all, though (if you use batched uucp with spoofing).
