We have bought about 200 to 300 of the 2400 baud units (Mt224e) and about 50 of the 9600 baud V-32 (Mt932ea) units. We have had two go bad. Pretty good track record as far as I am concerned. We are using them with a callback system and they seem to be about as good as it gets for interactive work. Calling extreme long distances with the V-32 can be chancey but I have seen this with all the brands of V-32 I have played with. Pep seems to work better with moving large amounts of data over long distances than V-32. Once in a while some of the V-32 will lose their configurations but I cannot verify this was the fault of the modem or errant customers fingers. The front display on the Multitech's has a good system of lights that allows you to see what version of mnp is running and switches for baud rate and answer/originate mode. Dip switches are on bottom of modem and are labeled. We have also used them in synchronous mode also as a backup connection for X-25. All in all I am pleased with the units and the tech- nical support that is available. Remember your milage may vary and its all blackmagic anyway :-).
