I am posting this for someone. However he does read the newsgroup comp.dcom.modems. --------------------------forwarded message---------------------- I am thinking of getting a modem from US. (It's so much cheaper than in UK.) I was just wondering whether there is any difference between phone jacks in US and UK. If so, is it just the shape of the connector that's different, or difference in voltage specifications and stuff? It all boils down to whether/how I can use a US modem in UK? Thanks in advance.
