I have a Team Electronics SmarTeam 300/1200 Hayes-compatible modem attached to a Kaypro 2X. I run MEX v1.14 & KERMIT. The various combinations work well except for an inconvenient little quirk: when I log off a host and 'hang up' the modem via the command specified in the manual, I have to physically disconnect the modem from the phone line in order to get it to *really* disconnect. I've been using the modem for over a year now, and have just discovered INFO-MODEMS via BITNET, and decided to send this plea. Any assistance, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! --Robin Sheppard

Does anyone have the switch/jumper settings for a (real, honest-to-G-D) Hayse 1200 baud internal modem. The only thing I know about the card is that it is a full card (not a half card version). I don't know much more about the card since it is in the machine of my quasi-computer literate Aunt who needs the information (and she does not live in this area). All help is appreciated!! Please email this information (keeps net traffic down). aTdHvAaNnKcSe -- scott barman | Life begins again on April 8, 1991, scott@nbc1.ge.com | in Shea Stadum, Flushing, New York: (This does not represent any | New York Mets vs. opinions of NBC or affiliates) | Philthydelphia Phillies
