Is anyone using a FAX modem with their Sun or UNIX computer, and would like to share their impressions? I'm thinking about setting up a system to send FAXes directly from my Sun network, but don't know which model or brand to purchase. -- Michael Czeiszperger | "I'm trying to teach a caveman to play scrabble mike@ymt.com | but the only word is knows is 'uugh', and he Greenbrae, CA | doesn't know how to spell it!"

I did see an interesting ad in Unix Today! for CorporateFax, a "...multi-line facsimile system", that "provides X-Windows graphical interface". Their software "provides full facsimile capabilities to any Sun workstation or UNIX server". The product "rasterizes text and image files, including Postscript files, presumably into a format that the software can then fax. The ad mentions the CorporateFax software, but does not mention what communications hardware is needed or provided with their product. Computer Signal Corp, the company in the ad, is offering a free Sun Sparc CD-ROM demo disc. Their phone number is: 1-800-835-3365. I have not tried this, and have no connection to the company mentioned here, and an make no reccomendations, but just thought the ad might be of interest to others.
