[comp.dcom.modems] Anyone gotta netblazer

albers@ka3ovk (Jon Albers) (04/04/91)

We just got 2 Netblazers (2 serial, 2 ethernet cards, 1 T2500) to evaluate
here. We have 2 networks to link via the T2500 and phone line:

The ssi network consists of:

100.30.0.1	ssi	<-- The netblazer at ssi.
100.30.0.5	irs5	<-- Unix mini
100.30.0.6	irs6	<-- Unix mini
100.30.0.8	irs8	<-- Unix mini
100.30.0.10	ka3ovk	<-- SCO Unix micro
100.30.0.11	w3wox	<-- SCO Unix micro

The bxr network consists of:

89.0.0.1	sys95	<-- Unix mini
89.0.0.2	sys85	<-- Unix mini
89.0.0.3	bxr	<-- The netblazer at bxr.

Now, the netblazers at both networks are set up and working as terminal
servers. I can log in and telnet from the netblazer to any other host
on the LOCAL network, and any other host on the LOCAL network can telnet
to the LOCAL netblazer. Convincing the netblazer to connect the 2
networks together has been difficlut. I think we have followed the
directions in the manual OK, but any attempt to cannect to a host on the
89.x.x.x net from the ssi netblazer still causes it to look out the
LOCAL ethernet and vice versa. When I log into the netblazer, and do
a 'session dial bxr', it complains that 'no dialout lines are available',
although the dialup is defined properly as far as Ican tell.

Has anyone set up a netblazer yet!?!

I have several calls into our local Telebit office, but I have not gotten a
call back in 2 days of trying..
