I got XCMALT compiled and running on my '386 UNIX box, but I'm confused about RZ/SZ... I get the impression they're only usable by people dialing INTO my system, not by me connected to someone ELSE's system. Is that right? Since there doesn't seem to be any way of specifying a /dev/ttyxx number to it, that's my conclusion. Am I just confused? *Can* it be used from the console, logged into something else? And if not, is there a Zmodem available which can? XCMALT is great, but CompuServe B isn't all that handy between most systems, and I don't trust XMODEM (besides, it takes too long).
