I hope this is the correct group to post this request to. Excuse me if it is not. I am seeking information regarding Mobile Data Terminals, the sort used in Taxis, EMS units, Police cars and the like. Specifically, those manufactured my Motorola. What is necessary to take the output of a receiver (analog) and convert it to input (digital) which can then be routed to a computer. I realize a modem is necessary, but I was hoping someone could provide the specifics; either a model number for the piece of equipment necessary, or simply the "in's and out's" to do what I've described.
