I would like our modems to connect to all other modems in the world at 12/24/9600 baud and 19.2(when talking the same protocol). I have used various modes including the T1000 and I simply want to establish a "modem bank" for our Novell/SCO/Sun/Mac net that will connect to (a) other Unix sustems (b) PC BBSs, Compuserve, that sort of stuff. Do I pick Hayes or Telebit ? I get the impression most Unix sites use Telebit (we do). Is this factual ? Are there any pointers to articles/reviews that will help me pick a standard modem vendor and sort out V.32, V.2?, PEP, etc ? I JUST WANT THE MOST SUPPORTED MODEM in both the Unix and PC worlds that will CONNECT within the STATES *and* OVERSEES. e-mail is OK, I'll post summary. -- Greg Presedo-Floyd gregpf@momenta.com 415-969-3876 Mt View, CA 94043 "America`s energy policy: Produce more oil!"
