Periodic bouts of insanity? Perhaps. Working too-long hours for too-many months and lack of sleep causing me to lose touch with reality? Most likely. I recently posted several messages to this newsgroup regarding what I termed a "troublesome" site concerning V.32 connectivity and lack of cooperation from the personnel at that site, and identified that site publicly as H-P Labs in Palo Alto, CA. Please bear with me for a moment; flame in email if you wish, but I sincerely need to lift the aspersions I cast upon people whom I've considered my friends for years, people with whom I socialize, people who've done NOTHING wrong and EVERYTHING RIGHT, and people whom I wrongly insinuated had callous attitudes towards solving data communications problems. Having recently re-read my original posts in this regards, I'm as shocked and perplexed as you must have been, and cannot understand WHAT possessed me to write the things I did regarding the excellent personnel at H-P Labs. The H-P Labs people have gone out of their way for YEARS to assist with any datacomm problems, even to the point of sharing their home phone numbers, etc., to assist the resolution of ANY problem I've encountered at any time of day. I hereby PUBLICLY apologize to *ALL* H-P Labs' personnel for my transgression. I have privately spoken to and apologized to those people directly affected by my original postings. I am blessed and fortunate to have such FRIENDS who also realized my postings were totally out-of-character for me and who are still ready and willing to help solve the V.32 connectivity problem between the CODEX 2264 and other V.32 modems (for which I will post whatever solution we develop). I wish all sites could have people of the calibre as those at H-P Labs.
