Greetings, Could some kind soul explain the relevant features of the high speed modems available? I read over some of the past couple hundred postings here and it seems that v42 & v32 are popular, but what is PEP? What i want to do is connect to university and BB systems on the internet, read news, and exchange data fast (atleast 9600). My guess is that the t1600 will do just fine, but i'd like a little expert advice if anyone would be willing to spend a minute. Thanks in advance.
