Just a thought, has anyone ever come up with a way to have an ftp like mailer. You could say something like: % mail site1!site2!site3!site4!finalsite!ftpmailer Subject: FILE-REQUEST SEND <DIR>:FILE SEND <DIR>:FILE RECV <DIR>:FILE ....FILE TO BE RECEIVED TEXT HERE QUIT . Something like this: You mail to a site a script of sorts containing commands as above. In this hypothetical example, The mailer sees the request for a transfer via the subject line. It then interprets the SEND lines as requests to mail TEXT files to the sender of this message, one file per mail mail message. ie the user would receive two separate mail messages later, each containing a file. It then interprets RECV as the name of a text file to be received. All text following that line until the next command is assumed to be the text of that file. QUIT stops the interpretter. Just a thought, I suppose uux allows this already.
