Has anyone had any success with getting a NEC N9631 modem to work with a Sun Sparc2 or Sparc1+? We've got one of these modems connected to each of the above Sparc's and are trying just to get a tip session happening between the two, then we hope to move on to PPP. We've tried both software and hardware flow control with no luck. stty -a shows that both Sparcs are set up identically as far as baud, stop bits, data bits and parity goes. Tipping from one to the other results in a connection but we get gibberish instead of a login prompt. It looks like what you'd see if the baud rates were set differently but, scout's honer, they're the same. Any help or experiences from other NEC users would be much appreciated!
