Hi, I'm trying to setup a regular UUCP connection between the two Suns. Machine B is in the UK, Machine A is in the USA. Host B polls host A periodically. Everything works fine if the uucp connection is made manually with a high level of debug output (levels 5 and 9 work), but when I try to make the connection with no debug output, things start to go haywire. Particularly, I start to lose characters at the beginning of the connection (while host B is trying to log onto host A). The number of characters which appear to be lost varies. This effectively prevents the login from occuring. I know that the TrailBlazer will ignore characters under certain conditions at startup (e.g. when trying to connect with MNP), but I can't think of anything which would behave this way in my case (I'm trying to connect in PEP mode, the calling modem is locked to that speed). Any ideas, suggestions would be welcome. Setup: Machine A is a Sun 3/160, SunOS 3.5, connected to a Telebit TrailBlazer. Machine B is a Sun SLC, SunOS 4.1.1, also connected to a TrailBlazer.
