[comp.dcom.modems] ZMODEM and unix mainframes

mjducey@rodan.acs.syr.edu (Matthew J. Ducey) (06/05/91)

Does anyone know if I can get my hands on a zmodem package that I can
use on my unix account here at school? the OS is Sun 4.1_PSR_A
There is talk here about getting it, I want to know if others have done
it and where I can get it.
Thanks
Matthew

It's available from WSMR-SIMTEL20.ARMY.MIL [192.88.110.20]

Directory: PD1:<MISC.UNIX>
File name: RZSZ9103.TAR-Z
Function: X/Y/Zmodem for many flavors of Unix
File type: Compressed tar archive

Rename to rzsz.tar.Z after transferring with FTP in TENEX mode,
uncompress and then extract with command: tar xfv rzsz.tar
