Hi to all those Aussie gurus! I have a question to all those using or knowledgeable about the Australian phone system. Because we will be in Australia (specifically Alice Springs) on a NASA Scientific Balloon expedition, in which high speed error correcting modems will be needed. I understand that V.32 is not the best system for use in some countries and that PEP will survive in some harsh environments that V.32 won't. Because we will be buying several of these modems control of a experiment, it can be two Trailblazer modems or two more standard V.32/V.42 modems, but we need it to be error-free. We would like it to be fast though. Can anyone out there 'down-under' fill me in on just what they have and/or like? And opinions and other comments gratefully accepted. BUT, since I will be out of touch for a week or more, please e-mail me a copy of anything that you post (so that our flaky News Server doesn't eat it). Cheers. -- Pat -- +--------------------------+---------------------------------------+ / Patrick Hoepfner | NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center \ / America Online: PatrickH9 | Internet: hoepfner@heasfs.gsfc.nasa.gov \ +-----------------------------+------------------------------------------+
