[comp.dcom.modems] USR DS v.32-to-v.32bis upgrades?

dwennick@polari.UUCP (don wennick) (06/17/91)

As the subject implies, is USR making upgrade ROMs/chipsets/whatever
available. A friend got a DS a long while back & was wondering about
this.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Don.

I believe the upgrade is a you-give-USR-your-old-modem and they-give-you-a-
new-one for the upgrade. There is no ROM upgrade to go to V.32bis.

don't forget the $400 you give USR plus your old modem to upgrade
to their newest modem
