Anyone have experiecne with the netblazer? I have seen several requests for experiences with this product, but no replies of note. One of the things I am concerned about is the ability of the device to handle multiple 38.4 sessions, SLIP, PPP and Telnet and also be able to handle routing functions since it is using only a 386SX processor (correct me if this has changed). I believe that you can assign a password for each user up to a maximum of X users. Anyone know what the value of X is? Are there any plans to upgrade the product to support port rates of greater than 38.4? I would also be interested in any experience with using V.32bis modems with this product since Telebit doesn't have one. What types of V.32bis modems have been used and how well do they work with the Netblazer? If anyone has any other recommendations for a terminal server with full modem control on the ports that supports SLIP, PPP, FTP, Telnet, DNS, and SNMP, I would be interested in the configurations and performance. If anyone has received replies to previous requests for real life experiences with the Netblazer, I think it would be valuable if they could post a summary of the replies. Just for fun I asked the guys in tech support the value of X. They didn't know so I took the 222 entries in Telebit's yp password and made up an add user script... There are now a _lot_ of users listed in addition to the half dozen that were on one of the units in the test lab.
