[comp.terminals] adm3a control `g` problem

mjablow@dasys1.UUCP (Mark Jablow) (05/02/87)

I recently purchased a lear siegler adm3a terminal and I
have been having trouble with it. Whenever the terminal receives a
control`g`, it begins scrolling the text on the screen in reverse and,
when it does this, garbled text from the screen is sent from the terminal.
Has anyone had this problem?

You're triggering the RAM-dump feature. You need to be sure your
RS-232-C connector does not supply a signal to one of the pins
that controls this (I forget which pin; it's in the technical
manual).
