I am looking for either a "terminfo" description file or "termcap" entry for a Tektronix 4107 terminal. Please either post such here, or send via electronic mail to the address below. (While the target computer system runs an implement- ation of System V, I can convert a "termcap" entry to the corresponding "terminfo" description. If one of the existing entries in "termcap" for Tek ter- minals is acceptable (with or without modifications, please let me know. Our "termcap" database shows the following entries for Tektronix terminals: 4012, 4013, 4014, 4015, 4023, 4024, 4025, 4027 The local "terminfo" library contains all the above plus an entry for The Tek 4112. -- From Colorado: land of high mountains Mike "never seen such a beast myself" McCarthy {ihnp4, ucbvax, hplabs}!hpfcla!mpm

Doesn't the Tek4107 have an ansi mode (CODE ANSI)? If it does use it and set TERM to vt100. Tom.

Re: TERMINFO entry for Tek terminal NOTES works again! (We say that all the time around here.) Thanks to two gracious employees of Tektronix I now have both TERMINFO and TERMCAP entries for the Tek terminal in question. Thanks also to the info about the VT-100 emulation mode for that terminal. I will pass this on to our end user. -- From Colorado: land of HP-UX support Mike (yet another "terminal" user :-) McCarthy

Re: acknowledgements I would like to personally thank the following people for their responses to my request: fred@scdpyer.ucar.edu huisken@seismo.css.gov ucdavis!spked!davev I tried contacting each of you via electronic mail, but the "hplabs" system was unable to send mail to any of these ad- dresses. -- From the land of HP-UX support Mike "giving thanks where it is due" McCarthy {ihnp4, ucbvax, hplabs}!hpfcla!e sp
