We got here three new and original DEC VT220s. The problem with them\is that when they are used in the VT220 mode, I see all kinds of strange characters on the screen. It seems to me that those characters are the characters that have the high bit on, but the problem exists in VT220 7bits and VT220 8bits modes. Also, don't you agree with me that it is quite silly of DEC to put the back-space as F12, the Escape key as F11, the DEL key instead of the back-space key and the "><" symbols on the bottom left key? Also, you can't make a steady block cursor. True, just "save" it in 8bit, vt100 mode, as i do.. But u also must think about the major PLUS, the keyboard is one of the best for ANY pc's i have seen.. that brings up a question, in the manual, many things are unclear, such as the way to set up the fonts, could someone help? In the way of function keys, i have figured that out, and can help anyone that can help. -- Karl Meiser UUCP: ...ihnp4!ddsw1!koala Travelers Aid, Mudelin Ill.
