We have acquired some Visual Technology 241 terminals, which are among
other things, a DEC vt241 clone (they also do tek, vt100, etc.). When
making use of the protected field attribute clearing the foreground seems to
take much longer than one would expect. We carved terminfo and termcap
entries out of the vt100 entry so I am sure that there could be some
attribute specifications that are somewhat less than optimum. If someone
has a working termcap and/or terminfo entry for this terminal (or the vt241)
PLEASE SEND IT TO ME! I would enjoy sharing comments about this terminal
with other users or potential users because it is a very nicely featured
box and our users like it (pretty colors, keyboard feel and crisp chars)
but our somewhat less than optimum screen painting and clearing speed is a
real downer!
