[comp.terminals] Qume 101

tso@celia.UUCP (Pauline Ts'o) (12/08/87)

We are testing out the QVT 101. Has anyone out there had any experience
with these terminals (especially as regards to reliability)?

					Thanks in advance,
					Pauline

I recall once testing a Qume "VT-100" clone. (It may very well have
been the QVT-101.) This terminal would wedge-up *whenever* you hit
Control-S, unfeezing the display only when you hit Control-Q. This
made it impossible, for example, to use the Control-S binding in emacs
to search for any search string not starting with ^Q. This "feature"
was not switch or software switchable.

You might want to make sure that your Qume doesn't have this
"feature".
