I am trying to connect a Data General D210 terminal to a
Masscomp 5400. This little beast seems to be a nice terminal
with a lot of function keys but can't get the delete key
work properly. I set "stty echoe" so that the erased character
will be wiped out with "backspace-space-backspace" but the
terminal doesn't do what conventional terminals do with a
backspace.
The terminal has two modes: DG mode and ANSI mode. In DG mode
the cursor goes "home" upon reception of a backspace, and
does nothing in ANSI mode. There has to be a way around this
problem. Any help will be very much appreciated. Please email
