[comp.terminals] 5410 termcap entry wanted

don@seila.UUCP (Don Kossman) (06/20/88)

i don't know if this problem is specific to SCO Xenix 2.2, but
i have been suffering with vi on a 5410 terminal; it has trouble,
over a 1200baud dialup line, with leading whitespace. Uemacs works
fine, but the (old) Uemacs version i've got apparently ignores most
everything in termcap anyway.

symptom is that lines with leading spaces or tabs are occasionally
displayed incorrectly; the leading whitespace is SOMETIMES ignored
when the line is displayed. hard to correspond this to system load,
but it may be a factor.

here is my current termcap entry:
#
z1|5410|5410 terminal 80 columns:\
	:co#80:li#24:am:cl=\E[;H\E[2J:bs:\
	:cm=\E[%i%d;%dH:nd=\E[C:\
	:up=\E[A:ce=\E[K:cd=\E[J:al=\E[L:\

	:kd=\E[B:kl=\E[D:kr=\E[C:\
	:ku=\E[A:kh=\E[H:
#

i've tried hacking with the padding of :cm:, to
no avail. any help would be appreciated.
