[comp.terminals] How do you reset the status line on a WYSE 50?

Well, I bought a Wyse 50, and I'm happy.  Except a manual costs $50
(too much!), and the Quick Reference Guide is too brief.

Specifically, how do I reset the status line?  I refer (correctly, I hope)
to the line at the very top of the screen that tells things like:

 CAPS    FDX           INS

Mine got garbage stuck in when I connected to a malfunctioning modem.  How
do I get rid of this garbage?  I sucessfully blanked out the status line,
but when I brought it back, it still had the garbage in it.
