We are in the process of procurring some terminals for programmers to use in doing development work on a UNIX/System V environment. The terminals that we are seriously thinking of buying are TVI965 or the Wyse60. Does anyone has good or bad experience with them, or other recommendations? Thank you.

I have had experience with both the wyse60 and tvi965. Both companies have quality control problems. Televideo also has a problem with timely shipping of the 965. My preference is for the 965 with Page-white screen, however, they are both fine terminals, provided you don't get a lemon. Wyse seems to put out about one lemon for every ten good terminals. Televideo has a much better ratio. --- Disclaimer: These opinions are definitely not those of BYTE, but are the result of personal experience outside of BYTE.

Wyse has many other products including the new WY-120. I recommend that anyone considering the WY-60 should also take a look at the WY-120. Jim MUnro A

Actually, I think you mean, the WY-150..!! Look at the LINK MC5 though. It has more capabilites and emulations for only about $15.00 more retail. David Ehlert Link Technologies Technical Support
