I'm the proud possessor of a Lear-Siegler ADM 36, a 1982-vintage
ANSI-compatible terminal. Unfortunately it has no meta key (not many
terminals do, of course). Since I spend a good bit of my time running
GNU Emacs, I really feel the lack.
However... there is a key marked `No Scroll', which accomplishes some
absurd command function, in exactly the place where a meta key should
be. Just to one side of the left shift key.
The thought occurs to me: would it be possible to burn a new PROM for
my ADM 36 that would literally turn `No Scroll' into a meta key? Does
anyone know? Would Lear-Siegler be likely to help?
