[comp.terminals] looking to buy

   Hi all,
I'm wondering if you could suggest a terminal (cost/where from)
for my purposes. I'd like a term which emulates both DEC VT100 and
Tek 4010/4014 to hook up to our system mainframes (preferably
through a 2400 or 9600 baud modem). Other than that, the price
should be around the $500 region... or is this a pipe dream?
All suggestions would be most appreciated.

And, I was also wondering if there is someone out there who
knows the dip-switches on a Televideo 920c. If not, could someone
suggest how I might contact Televideo?

I'd suggest buying an Atari 520ST (or 1040ST). You can get a monochrome
520ST for less than $500 with 640 X 400 resolution. There are several
good terminal emulation packages for ~$50. So for about $500, you will
get a Tek terminal, vt100, and a 68000 micro with a mouse and 3.5" disk
drive.

I have such a manual around here somewhere. If you can not find anyone to
help you get this information, send me E-Mail and I will send you the switch
setting when I am able to find the manual. Please note, this might take a
while.
