I have a Zenith-29 that's started showing single-bit errors in its screen memory. Only one is "hard"--the others show up a few seconds after a character's written. There are about 8 bad spots, and it seems to be getting worse. Maybe a refresh problem? I don't have the tech manual/schematic. This thing's a little over six years old. Reply by e-mail, please. -=EPS=- cca.ucsf.edu!wet!epsilon@cgl.ucsf.edu claris!wet!epsilon@ames.arc.nasa.gov

Thanks to all that responded (so quickly, too!). Apparently this is one of the more commonly seen problems; the culprit is most likely the HM6116LP-4 2Kx8 SRA< located at U417. Replacement costs were cited at between <$2 and $10--one person referred to it as a "common garden-variety" and another wondered if they were still made! -=EPS=-
